Knowe Kniffling

A hill of Tweeddale in the W Scottish Borders, Knowe Kniffling rises to 406m a half-mile (1 km) north of Common Law and (1332 feet) 2¾ miles (4.5 km) southwest of Broughton. There are the scant remains of an Iron-Age hill-fort on its summit, which once comprised three concentric embankments, but much denuded by quarrying for stone and former cultivation.
