Fiaray


(Fiaraidh, Fiaraigh)

An uninhabited island lying off the north coast of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, Fiaray (Gael: Fiaraigh) is located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) north of Scurrival Point on Barra, separated by the Sound of Fiaray. This island has an area of 41 ha (101 acres) and is, for the most part, low-lying although two modest hills in the west rise to 30m (98 feet).
