Lochan nan Arm

A tiny loch on the right bank of the River Fillan in Stirling, Lochan nan Arm is situated a mile (1.8 km) southeast of Tyndrum. This loch is where Robert the Bruce (1274 - 1329) and his supporters threw their arms when fleeing after a defeat by the MacDougalls at nearby Dalrigh, when Bruce had been given refuge at St. Fillan's Priory.
