Derry Cairngorm

Located east of Ben Macdui and south of Loch Etchachan in the Cairngorms in Moray, Derry Cairngorm rises to a height of 1155m (3789 feet) and qualifies as a Munro. There are a pair of cairns on the summit and this mountain is characterised by an extensive granite boulder field. It derives its name from the Gaelic for 'blue peak of the (oak) thicket'.
