Loch Moan

A small loch in Dumfries and Galloway, Loch Moan lies in the Glentrool Forest on the border with South Ayrshire, 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Barrhill. The loch extends to 55.2 ha (137 acres), while the River Cree drains from it to the southwest. Of its several little islets, the two largest are named the Black and White Islands.
