Loch Eil

A sea loch in southwest Highland Council Area, Loch Eil extends nearly 7 miles (11 km) from west to east, opening into the northern end of Loch Linnhe at the of the Caledonian Canal and opposite Fort William. It gives its name, as Lochiel, to the style of the chiefs of the Clan Cameron.
