The second highest summit on the island of Tiree in the Inner Hebrides, Ben Hough (also Beinn Hough) rises to 119m (390 feet) in the northwest of the island, immediately to the northwest of Hough and 3 miles (5 km) west northwest of Crossapoll. An observation post near the summit was built by the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the World War II and provides panoramic views over the entire island. Ben Hough lies at the northern end of a modest ridge which also includes the summits of Beinn Mhurstat and Cnoc an Fhithich, but is separated from these by a pass called Bealach na Beinne.
