Loch Heilen

A shallow loch in N Caithness, Loch Heilen is located to the west of Lochend, 2½ miles (4 km) southeast of Dunnet and 3¾ miles (6 km) east of Castletown. It extends to 78 ha (191 acres) but is rarely deeper than 1.5m (5 feet). The loch provides popular fishing for wild brown trout.
