Loch Garten

A small loch in the Strathspey district of Highland Council Area, Loch Garten lies between the River Spey and the Cairngorm Mountains, 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Nethy Bridge. Surrounded by birch and pine forest of the Abernethy Forest, it was the first osprey nesting site to be made accessible to the public. The loch is managed by the RSPB as a nature reserve.
