Craigmawhannal

A hill within the panhandle of East Ayrshire which extends south between South Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway, Craigmawhannal rises to 357m (1171 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of the southern end of Loch Doon and a similar distance east of Loch Macaterick. The Eglin Lane flows past immediately to the west. This hill is composed of granite, part of the Loch Doon Igneous Complex.
