Loch Gowan

A pair of connected lochs in Wester Ross, Loch Gowan is situated in the Ledgowan Forest, a mile (1.5 km) south southwest of Achnasheen. Loch Gowan receives Allt Gharagain from the southwest, Allt Mhartuin from the south, between the two sections of the loch, and casts off Abhainn a' Chomair to the northeast. The A830 road skirts the northwestern shore of the loch, while the Kyle of Lochalsh branch of the Highland Railway runs along its southeastern shore.
