A broad hill on a NW-SE trending ridge in Highland Perth and Kinross, Creag Dhubh has multiple summits the loftiest of which reaches 498m (1633 feet) 3½ miles (5.5 km) west northwest of Dunkeld. The hill is cloaked by the Craigvinean Forest, a commercial plantation, parts of which were clear-felled to build a section of the Griffin Wind Farm which is found on the western slopes of the hill.
