An elongated summit overlooking the SW coast of the island of Hirta in the St. Kilda group, Mullach Sgar rises to approximately 250m (820 feet) between Claigeann Mor and Ruival, a half-mile (1 km) west of Village. A radar head, comprising several 'golf-balls' and aerials associated with the St. Kilda Military Base and Hebrides Missile Range, lies on its southeastern slopes.
