Dryfe Water

A river of Annandale, Dumfries and Galloway, the Dryffe Water rises on the southern slope of Loch Fell, just over 5 miles (8 km) east of Moffat. It flows south and southwestwards for more than 18 miles (29 km) before joining the River Annan 2 miles (3 km) west of Lockerbie. It gives its name to Dryfesdale, the name of an Annandale parish whose church is located in Lockerbie.
