Ardantrive Bay

A sizeable bay on the northeast coast of the island of Kerrera in Argyll & Bute, Ardantrive Bay lies between the headlands of Mount Pleasant and Rubh'a Chruidh. Flying boats operated from here from 1933 and during World War II as RAF Oban this was a base for flying boats which patrolled the Atlantic hunting for German U-boats. Today there is a sizeable marina and boat-yard on the bay.
