Beneraird

The mountain of Beneraird is located on the border between South Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway, 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Ballantrae, South Ayrshire. Rising to a height of 439m (1440 feet), it lies to the west of the Arecleoch Forest and is the source of the Water of App. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar, installed in 1936.
