Gairney Water

A stream in the Kinross area of Perth and Kinross, the Gairney Water rises to the southwest of Crook of Devon and flows 5 miles (8 km) east past the village of Cleish before entering Loch Leven a mile to the northeast of Gairneybridge. Featured in the poetry of Michael Bruce (1746-67), its course was straightened in the early 19th century by local land owners.
