Galloway Burn

A small stream of only a mile (1.5 km) in length, the Galloway Burn descends from the plantation forest into Loch Ryan and is significant because for two-thirds of its course it forms the boundary between South Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. The A77 Trunk Road crosses the burn via the Galloway Bridge at Marchburn.
