Strathglass

The valley stretching to the southwest of Beauly in the Inverness district of Highland Council Area, Strathglass lies to the northwest of Loch Ness. Formed by the meeting of the River Affric and the River Cannich, the River Glass flows northeast to join the River Farrar at Struy where it continues on as the Beauly to empty into the Beauly Firth. Forestry, shooting and the generation of hydro-electric power are the main local activities.
