Misty Law

Misty Law is the name given to one of the Renfrewshire Heights, located on the border of North Ayrshire with Renfrewshire. Situated within Clyde Muirshiel Country Park, it is found 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Largs and rises to a height of 510m (1673 feet). Geologically, the hill gives its name to the Misty Law Trachytic Complex, a volcanic rock of Carboniferous age, which is cut through by Tertiary dolerite dykes, giving rise to baryte mineralisation that was exploited to the north on Queenside Muir.
