Appin of Dull

A locality of Strath Tay in Perth and Kinross, the Appin of Dull comprises the rich flatlands of the River Tay to the south of Dull and between Loch Tay and Aberfeldy. The Appin refers to the 'abbey land' associated with a great abbey, the foundation of St Adamnan, that is said to have flourished here. The Strath of Appin continues northwards from the Tay following the valley of the Keltney Burn.
