A bay near the head of the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute, Faslane Bay is located a mile (1.5 km) south southeast of the village of Garelochhead and 5 miles (8 km) north northwest of Helensburgh. The bay is entirely occupied by the jetties and immense maintenance sheds of HM Naval Base Clyde, which was constructed during World War II.
