A shallow loch on the NW coast of North Uist, Loch Scolpaig is located a quarter-mile (05. km) southeast of Scolpaig and a mile (1.7 km) north northeast of Balmartin. The loch is cross by the road which leads to Scolpaig and contains a small island which once supported a dun, which is now the site of Scolpaig Tower.
