Enard Bay

A sizeable inlet in Wester Ross, Enard Bay lies 3¾ miles (6 km) southwest of Lochinver, between Rubha Coigeach and Rubha na Breige. The bay is 4 miles / 6.5 km in width and contains several islands, the largest being Eilean Mor. There are several smaller inlets and bays within Enard Bay, including Loch an Eisg Brachaidh, Cuil Lochain, Poll Loisgann, Polly Bay, Lag na Saille, Garvie Bay, Achnahaird Bay and Camas Coille. The bay gave its name to the Royal Navy frigate HMS Enard Bay launched in 1944.
