Kinnoull Hill, Perth

A prominent summit overlooking the River Tay at the southwest end of the Sidlaw Hills, Kinnoull Hill rises to 222m (721 feet) a mile (1.5 km) east of Perth. A folly tower was built on the edge of the cliff by Thomas Hay, 9th Earl of Kinnoull (1710-87), to simulate one of the romantic German castles perched above the Rhine. There are woodland walks.
