The Obbe

(An t-Ob)

A small sea loch on the southwest coast of South Harris in the Outer Hebrides, the Obbe (Gael: An t-Ob) has long provided a sheltered mooring for the settlement of the same name. As part of the developments by Lord Leverhulme which came with the renaming of the village to Leverburgh, he built a new harbour on the south side of the entrance to the sea loch in the 1920s.
