Beinn Udlamain

The highest of the Drumochter mountains in highland Perth and Kinross, Beinn Udlamain lies to the east of Loch Ericht. Its plateau summit reaches 1010m (3314 feet) and the peak qualifies as a Munro. The ridge to the summit consists of a line of fence posts which marked the boundary between the old counties of Perthshire and Invernessshire. Its name is derived from the Gaelic for"gloomy mountain".
