Tor of Craigoch

A hill in the North Rhins of Galloway, the Tor of Craigoch rises to 125m (410 feet) a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Leswalt. The hill offers fine views over Loch Ryan. On its summit is the prominent Agnew Monument (1850) which is surrounded by an Iron-Age hill-fort. The fort comprises two concentric defences of now-collapsed stone walls.
