Hill of Fare

A hill range in Aberdeenshire, the Hill of Fare rises to 471m (1545 feet) 4 miles (6 km) to the north of Banchory. In 1562, a skirmish between the followers of Mary Queen of Scots under the Earl of Moray and the Earl of Huntly took place in the marshy hollow of Corrichie to the southeast.
