An area of plantation forest in the Scottish Borders, Glentress forest lies to the north of the River Tweed, 2 miles (3 km) east of Peebles. It was one of the first State Forests established in Scotland in the 1920s by the Forestry Commission. It is now managed by Forestry and Land Scotland and benefits from a series of world-class mountain-biking trails.
