Callievar Hill


(Coiliochbhar Hill, Coillebharr Hill)

A hill in the Howe of Alford, Aberdeenshire, Callievar Hill (also Coiliochbhar Hill, recorded on the Ordnance Survey First Edition as Coillebharr Hill) rises to 533m (1748 feet) in a bend in the River Don, 4 miles (7 km) west of Alford. A subsidiary summit which rises to around 490m (1607 feet) a half-mile (1 km) to the south southeast is the one now named on modern Ordnance Survey maps.
