Beinn Mhor

The highest peak on the island of South Uist in the Western Isles, Beinn Mhor lies on a ridge which runs northwest to southeast, 2 miles (4 km) north of Loch Eynort. The mountain reaches a height of 620m (2034 feet), with a lower top of 608m (1995 feet) to the northwest. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed 1948-49.
