Cumbernauld Museum

This is a small museum that is co-located with Cumbernauld Library on Level Three of the innovative Town Centre complex in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. Telling the history of Cumbernauld from Roman times through to the present day, with displays illustrating the development of the New Town in the 1950s and 60s, the museum has extensive archives and photographic records. Objects on display include Roman pottery associated with the nearby Antonine Wall, a model of the Roman fort at Westerwood, textiles and items relating to the local people at war.
