Old Man of Stoer

The Old Man of Stoer is a spectacular stack which rises 60m (197 feet) from the sea a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southwest of the Point of Stoer on the west coast of Sutherland. It is composed of red Torridonian Sandstone and is popular with climbers, having first been scaled in 1967 by Tom Patey (1932-70).
