A lofty summit which represents the third highest on the island of Eigg in the Inner Hebrides, Sgorr an Fharaidh rises to 340m (1115 feet) on the scarp edge of Beinn Bhuidhe, an ancient basalt lava plateau that forms the centre of the island. It overlooks the settlement of Cleadale to the west and the island of Rum beyond.
