Ord Hill

A prominent summit on the Black Isle, Ord Hill rises steeply to 191m (626 feet) to the north of the Kessock Bridge, a mile (1.5 km) northeast of North Kessock and 2 miles (3 km) north of Inverness. On the summit is an extensive Iron-Age vitrified fort with distinctive ramparts, which offers commanding views across the Moray Firth. The hill is cloaked by coniferous plantation woodland and provides an orienteering course.
