Lochaber

Representing a formal district within Highland Region between 1974 and 1995, Lochaber is an ancient territory that traditionally extends eastwards from Loch Linnhe to Loch Laggan. It includes Ben Nevis as well as Glen Spean, Glen Roy, Glen Gloy and parts of Rannoch Moor and its principal settlement is Fort William. The modern administrative district was much larger, extending to Ardnamurchan in the west, Morar in the north and Nether Lorn in the south.
