A modest hill of Wester Ross, Cnoc Breac rises to 293m (961 feet) in the centre of the Melvaig Peninsula which separates Loch Gairloch from Loch Ewe, 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Poolewe. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar, installed 1948-49.
