A secluded valley in N Perth & Kinross, Glen Derby lies to the west of Kirkmichael and Strath Ardle. The settlement of Glenderby lies in woodland at its entrance, while Loch Broom is located at its head. There are several blocks of plantation forest on the sides of the valley, which is occupied by The Back Burn, which becomes the Balnald Burn.
