Cleish Hills

A range of hills on the border between Perth and Kinross and Fife Council Areas, the Cleish Hills rise to a height of 378m (1240 feet) at Dumglow. The reservoirs of Loch Glow and the Black Loch lie within the range and the remains of an ancient vitrified hill-fort can be found on the summit of Dummiefarline which overlooks the village of Cleish. Fine sandstone quarried in the past for building is capped by basalt here.
