Fingask

A 16th-century tower house in the Braes of the Carse on the southern flank of the Sidlaw Hills, Perth and Kinross, Fingask lies near the village of Rait, between Perth and Dundee. Originally a stronghold of the Bruces, Fingask was sold to the Threiplands, a Peeblesshire family who temporarily lost the property after the first Jacobite rising in 1715. The building was restored in 1816 and in the garden are fine examples of topiary.
