A rolling summit on the edge of a moorland plateau in South Ayrshire, later occupied by the Arecleoch Forest, Loch Hill rises to 272m (892 feet) 4 miles (6.5 km) west of Barrhill. The Arecleoch Wind Farm extends south from here.
