Harelaw Dam

The Harelaw Dam is one of three significant water bodies on the Levern Water located close to the SW boundary of East Renfrewshire, the others being the Long Loch and the Commore Dam. Built in 1844 and extending to 41 ha (102 acres), Harelaw lies 3 miles (4 km) south of Neilston. Retained by four separate dams, the reservoir is shallow but well-stocked with trout, being home to the Harelaw Trout Fishery.
