Rising on the northern slopes of Stob Diamh, 3 miles (5 km) north northwest of Lochawe, in Argyll and Bute, the River Noe flows for 4 miles (6.5 km) in a northwesterly direction, passing through Glen Noe, before emptying into Loch Etive a mile (1.5 km) west of the settlement of Glennoe.
