Wallyford Railway Station

A modern railway halt on the East Coast Main Line in East Lothian, Wallyford Station (Gael: Àth Uallais) is located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) north northwest of the centre of Wallyford and 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Inveresk. Opened in 1994 and operated by ScotRail, it comprises two platforms connected by an overbridge, together with utilitarian passenger shelters. Only North Berwick services stop at Wallyford, which is unstaffed and was used by 227,874 passengers per annum in 2010. It is preceded by Prestonpans Railway Station, 2 miles (3 km) to the east northeast, and followed by Musselburgh, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) to the west.
