Pabbay


(Pabaigh)

A pair of uninhabited rock-trimmed islands, which merge at low tide, in inner Loch Boisdale in the SE of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Pabbay (Gael: Pabaigh) is located to the south of North Lochboisdale and a half-mile (1 km) west of Lochboisdale. The two principal parts of the island extend to 15.5 ha (38 acres), flat-lying in the north but rising to beyond 10m (33 feet) in the south.
