A shallow man-made loch on the side of the Queen's Drive in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, St. Margaret's Loch lies beneath St. Anthony's Chapel, some third-of-a-mile (500m) east of Holyrood Palace, close to the northeast entrance to the park. Popular with visitors and locals alike, St. Margaret's Loch supports a significant population of geese, swans and ducks. It was once a boating pond.
