Carn Bhac

A mountain of the Central Grampians in Aberdeenshire, Carn Bhac rises to a height of 945m (3101 feet) 7½ miles (12 km) southwest of Braemar, close to the border with Perth and Kinross. It is classified as a Munro. The summit lies at the northeast end of a ridge which includes Carn a' Bhutha (907m / 2975 feet) and a further top at 920m (3018 feet). Its name is derived from the Gaelic for 'hill of peat banks'.
