Craighead Reservoir

A tiny reservoir retained by a V-shaped earth embankment dam on the northern slopes of Clashmach Hill in the Strathbogie district of NW Aberdeenshire, Craighead Reservoir lies 2 miles (3 km) west of Huntly and 7½ miles (12 km) south southeast of Keith in Moray. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water. A modern waterworks is located on the side of the nearby A920 road.
