A small district in N Edinburgh, Heriot Hill lies to the northeast of Rodney Street, between Broughton and Canonmills, a half-mile (1 km) north of the city centre. It takes its name from Heriot's Hospital which owned the land here from 1636. Heriot Hill House on Broughton Road dates from 1788 and is now B-listed.
